    I'm Discharged!!!

Just wanted to say a big "thank you!" for everyone's input and guidance through this process. I did it completely pro se, using NOLO's bankruptcy guide and this forum, and it went without a hitch. My debts were years old, and there was just no way I could ever pay them.

I'm not sure what it will be like now that I don't have to worry about creditors stalking and harrassing me and my family. I am in my early thirties, and have been paying for stupid mistakes I made in college for far too long, and never feeling like I could dig my way out. I can say this, it has been a huge lesson for me. Good luck to all of you, as well.

I feel you can't wait until I am where you are. We are going Pro se as well, I am in my early 30s as well. I want to take care of this while I am still young and then I provide a better future for my kids. What is NOLS??? I want to file asap we have no assets so it should not be too hard. How far back do you go in reporting debt 7 years? 10 Years?

      Congratulations CJH

Enjoy your fresh new financial start in life.

Freshstart- NOLO is the lawbooks that print out a bankruptcy book that most pro se filers use to help them with their filing. It's the guidelines and information most lawyers use. There is a sticky at the top of this forum about it.

          Fresh Start

If you are going pro se, I HIGHLY recommend this book. It walks you step-by-step through each form, and made it incredibly easy. I could not have filed pro se without this. There is a sticky note about it on the first page.

          Good luck!

What was your file date I am in the 60 day club I guess and am curious as I also filed pro se congradulations!!
Sometimes life make you deal with ugly and hateful people ,just think of them as sand paper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way but eventually you end up smooth and polished and the sand paper becomes old and worn out.
