    Signed paperwork and filing on Monday

    I'm about to join the ranks.

    Signed all paperwork today. My lawyer will put it in the mail for a Monday filing. Anticipated 341 Hearing of July 16th or 23rd.

    It will be interesting because I used my credit cards right up until last week and I had some cc advances so we shall see if I get any objections. I have yet to be 30 days late on any payment so I figured the stress of not paying my cards for 90 days waiting to file would be worse than any consequences of filing immediately. Also, since I have stopped making minimum payments the amount I save over the next 90 days is greater than the cash advance that I may have to pay back.

    I basically did the same thing as you. But it was more like 30 days of no use until I filed.
    Yesterday I received my first objection letter from Cap One's Attorney. Oddly a week before our 341, I basically racked up $2000 in charges (plane tickets, car rentals, etc) a few months before filing so they want to settle at 10 payments of $150 or $1500.
    Our attorney is sending them a response letter saying no, we'll see how that goes.

      I was going to pay the credit cards with recent charges but my lawyer said not to. Anything I will do will be according to him.

        Beach, my attorney said it's not worth their time for small amounts such as 2k.

          It appears that my Capitol One Card is willing to fight for the $2K.

            I would be concerned if they didn't send a letter. IMO they know they likely won't recover the 2K so they send a letter hoping you bite.

            Where do you live? I'm in CA...

                  Good luck. Sounds like we're on a similar path. The good news for me is I start a new job Aug 1 and I really do get to be a beach bum for the next 30 days until I move east.....nice day today!!!
