Great to hear. I remember most of the details-and I think you did the right thing, regardless of any impact on your own case. People like that need to be punished, and I hope the trustee digs VERY deep and brings some sort of justice to this thief.
Best wishes,

Trustee only get PAID with his cases remaining active... but other (already done)... he might not get any $$ for additional busy time he might put in... so he not motivated enough or happy enough to have spare time to get it reopen/investigate again!!?? .. Just like any lawyer... only money motivate money!!... and a sucker born every minute 2!!...Last edited by BKOnce; 06-05-2007, 08:56 AM.

Keep calling. This is such a substantial amount of money, I cannot imagine the trustee just "letting it go". I believe the trustee may also be entitled to a percentage of any fraudulent activity he discovers, and I recall your thieving partner may have secreted away millions.
good luck

Dh spoke again to the trustee and he explained again how his resources to pursue this case are very limited. He did advise us to call the District Att. to file charges. This is what we will do. As for the trustee looking more into the case, I am not sure if he is but we will try to reveal all we can to help him show fraud.

Boy, $5K seems pretty cheap here. I'll probably pay half that just to shred my 7 credit card bills...no complicated debt, foreclosures, tanked businesses, con-men. Just a bunch of well-deserved, unsecured credit. I do have two car loans, but I think I'm underwater on those.
Busted, good luck and I hope you and your husband can overcome this. I'm working on the same thing right now with my spouse.Filed Ch 7 - January 29th, 2008
