    341 Is Over

    Well.. its over! The trustee was a pretty grumpy guy. Almost everyone before us got qestioned about quite a few things on their cases. In our case, he was not really happy about us selling some assets to family. Although we got fair value and the money went to the bank. He was also interested in our 5 acres that we claimed as homestead (because we are surrendering a mobile home) This really didnt surprise me and our attorney had already told us we have a 50/50 chance of him taking it. But that is ok. And everyone who follows my case: HE DIDNT EVEN ASK ABOUT MY DOG!!!! He never mentioned pets to anyone!

    The trustee informed all of us before the meeting that he wouldnt tell us if our assests were exempt or not at this time, so we really dont know what we are getting to keep yet. Anyone have any idea when i should start checking pacer, or when he will let us know what he wants from us?

    This bk board is a life saver: everyones advise to me has been dead on! I have known what to expect thru this entire ordeal!! Thanks so much everyone! Its nice to be able to come on here and not be judged or harrassed. Everyone is so helpful.

    Congrats on getting through the 341.
    May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
    July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
    September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

      It really depends on your local court and trustee customs.

      Our Ch 13 was posted to PACER the day after our 341 and we received our trustee's official form letter describing his requirements during our Ch 13 case in the mail within a week of our 341. We also received the official court letter in the mail listing the objections to our Ch 13 case about two weeks after our 341.

      Your court and trustee will notify you and your lawyer by letter in the U.S. mail regardless. It's just helpful to check PACER periodically because you get some notice of what might be coming your way ahead of time. That way if it's bad news, it's still a shock but you have a few extra days to talk with your lawyer and strategize.

      09/27/07 - Confirmed at last!
      06/10/11 - Trustee confirms all payments made
      08/10/11 - DISCHARGED !

      10/02/11 - CASE CLOSED
      Countdown: 60 months paid, 0 months to go
