I think maybe the 60 day wait is harder than the 341 wait!

Geez, I can't believe how stressed I am about the 60 day waiting period!!! I thought after the 341 I'd feel stress-free... but it's just this vulnerability that gets me! 60 days... that's after the 4th of July! But... wait... if all goes as I hope (and attorney expects) I should have a FINANCIAL Independence Day (except for those pesky student loans!)!!! Wow, I'm pretty excited now! OK so I just needed to type it out. LOL!

For me, the first 7 weeks flew by. That last week before "D-Day" was the killer!!

And then, our Court is set up for a 7 day waiting period. Last Day for Objections and Extensions passes and then you have to wait a week before the Discharge Notice is generated. UGH!!

Just keep busy and it will fly by before you know it!!
      Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
      Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
      Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

I went through the sitting and waiting period recently. Nobody likes to wait. But it will pass. Don't dwell on it.

The 60 day wait just about killed me. But like everyone has said, it will be over before you know it and then you will ask yourself "why was I so freaked out?"

I'm with Sinking. I was just fine until the last week. I spent that week freaking out and shooting emails off to my lawyer.

Ditto!! Now I keep popping into Pacer to see if discharge was retracted or anyone filed anything at all to keep me from getting this over and done with! 23 days left to go until closing......

Ok, the 60 day wait is for creditors to appeal? I ask because I have one goofball divorce lawyer I absolutely want to soak with the Chap 7 protection. However - he is local and as a law firm it would be easy for them to at least make a run for the money or make it hard on me. Any thoughts?
