Need a new computer.. have open credit not filed on...

Thanks everyone! And THANK YOU SinkingFast for all of the information! Your son must be really smart!!! Tell him I said "thanks!". I'll try all of that first, because I really don't want to buy a new PC, I have had 2 Dells in the past 5 years and I'm ready to just make the move to a Mac. They are more expensive but they've stood the test of time and my brother has one that he just LOVES. I hope to keep this one chugging along for a year more (probably will take that long to save enough $$$!) I agree with not wanting to put a computer on credit, I did that with my first Dell (on Dell credit... no other choice!) and your computer dies before it's paid off! Fortunately I'd transferred my balance to a lower APR card but it still isn't my #1 choice. But sometimes you just don't have one~ I am going to fight this computer til the bitter end to keep it running... I'm determined to get more than 2 years out of it!!! Thanks again, everyone!
