Cindylynn... question re: auto purchase :)

    Hi Cindylynn!

I noticed in your siggy that you were able to purchase a brand new Ford with almost no interest only 2 months after discharge. Can you tell me how you did this??? I NEED a new car since the one I'm thinking of surrendering is developing problems. Can you let me know about your experience?

    Thanks!!!

Find a high volume Ford Dealership in your area. Call them and ask for the special financing department. It will sometimes be the used car lot or the "Ready Credit" department. I called ahead and the salesman from this lot helped me on a new car. The reason I was able to get it is because I put 25% down. Now, a large part of this was the rebate (4000) that they allowed as part of the downpayment and the rest I put down in cash. They really worked with me. My income had increased quite a bit and my debt to income ratio was very low. Interestingly enough, I had just included a vehicle in my BK which had been discharged approx. 2 months before this purchase.

Thanks for your response! I don't have any money for a down payment. I hope I'm not out of luck Maybe they can do something... I hope! How do you like your Escape? I want one but my hubby is worried about rollover potential.
