I agree, our attorney nor the trustee asked for any receipts for general expenses over prior 6 mo. No one has asked for any receipts or to see our bank statements at all. We had to provide a statement of what was in our accts on the day we were filed but that was just a snapshot of the totals...no details.
Hope that helps!

Just look back thru your checkbook and/or bank statements and your CC's statements. You'll get an idea of what you're spending where.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06

Our attorney told us the only time you need receipts is if you are way over the typical expenses for a family your size, as others have said above. For example, we have to drive ~1,000 miles a month due to a child custody arrangement. This puts our gas/transportation expenses MUCH higher than a normal family. So we've been keeping all of our gas receipts to prove we really spend that much(X) - Filed Chap 7 - 11.14.2007
