    getting paper for the trustee

Just got home form the bank and i am so angry, they can get all the statements for us but they are charging $5.00 per statement for three years, thats $180.00, for pete sakes I'm broke, where does this trustee think I am getting this money from? The Mortgage store is doing this at no cost, leave it up to the bank. But at least we are getting them, this trustee can look all she wants but there are no hidden assets, and regardless of what our attorney says, I don't believe this is a random pull. I'm not sure how much longer i can stand up under this pressure, I'm starting to wonder if it is even all worth it. Thanks for letting me vent.

Calm down........ remember filing bankruptcy should be a business decision....... Keep it cool.

One thing for sure the Trustee does NOT CARE whether you have the money to pay for anything or not, he works for the creditors. All you can do is comply and produce it.....

THAT MY FRIEND is the importance of hanging onto bank statements and receipts over the years....... many folks just throw everything away after they look at it.....

Our paperless society is going to find a LOT OF PEOPLE paying for bank statements, cancelled checks, etc..... because we pay online, etc and we have no written receipts or cancelled checks coming back to us..... and sometimes we really need those receipts.............

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

We were able to get all of ours via our online banking. If your bank or credit union has home banking or online, you should be able to pull up previous months/years statements and print them off. There wasn't a "print" button, but I just pulled each month up, right-clicked on it and clicked print. It was just printed from our home computer, nothing official, but it was certainly adequate and accurate. Good luck!

      Hoping for brighter skies ahead...

Too bad you cant some kind of subpoena to pull you records at no cost ! the online thing is how i was able to get my statments too if it is not to late, once the creditor finds out you are filing bk they usually prevent you from accessing your accounts on line though !

Good Luck, Catch Me If You Can !

It would be perfect if we could get the statements for free, but I explained the situation to the lady at the bank, I never thought I would ever tell anyone let alone a stranger that we filed bankruptcy, but it isn't like I am ashamed of it, like everyone else on the board we struggled hard to pay our bills till it was impossible to do anymore. She called me yesterday and said she put a rush on the order and is waving all charges that our branch would charge us, as we have enough trouble, so I thought that was very sweet of her, there are so many good, caring people out there. So I hope the charge will be smaller now. I tryed to print them off line but it wouldn't allow me to open any records.
My attorney still has not returned our calls, if i don't hear from him today, I plan on calling again and asking if I need to set up an appointment with him tomorrow, isn't it funny how as soon as some get your money they forget all about you. If this case goes bad, should I consider fileing a complaint against him, for not returning my calls and taking this as seriously as we think he should, I also believe that my husband was turned down for a job, this week due to the b.k. he was better qualified, then the others and all was going well, till they did a background and credit check, so there seems, to be a lot going on right now, I can't start to say how this board has kept me sane, and I very much appreciate all of you putting up with my ramblings.
