    Day 60

Well, today's the day. So far so good. Do you all think I can breathe yet? We filed a no asset case and so far it has gone a lot smoother than expected.

If I look on Pacer at midnight and there's no objections does that mean it's pretty much over?

I'm more nervous today then I think I have been this whole process.

This board is a wealth of knowledge! Thank you all so much!

I was just there a few weeks ago. I had a no asset case with no objections.

Usually, if you were going to have objections by a creditor, they probably would have contacted your attorney for a settlement before actually filing an objection.
Trustees, however, pretty much "move in a time and space continuum all their own!" (quote borrowed from Irprn) so you need to wait that out. I would say the end of tomorrow would be the safe zone since they can "post" one day late (4/24) and enter it as "filed" 4/23. But unless you have somthing to hide you should be fine. My deadline was a Monday as well.

To calm my nerves, I checked other cases by the same trustees and Judge who filed on the same date and had the 341 near mine. I saw that people who were going to be hung up had filings on Wed or Thurs the week prior.

A few people have had objections on the very last day but seldom is it a total surprise.
You'll be alright. Kick back and wait for the discharge, your almost there!

Okay, that would really put a damper on my day! LOL I looked around on Pacer and my history seems to be the shortest of all the ones I looked at. We went through one of the big bankruptcy attorney firms and he kept saying this was a "normal" bankruptcy case. It's so close to the end now I just want it to be over. How I don't miss the days of the phone ringing off the hook starting at 8:00 a.m. I will eat peanut butter sandwhiches for a week straight before I get my self in that situation again!

Thank you! I can't wait! Now if I could just figure out a budget and stick to it. Maybe I'll try to do that while I wait for the debt monkey to get off my back!!!! Seriously, you all are so wonderful around here. I can't imagine going through this and not having this resourse!

I HEAR YA' ! If your case was "normal" as your attorney said, and there were no snags on the way, I would say you're in the clear. The only reason a trustee would object at this point would be an interest in new found assets or discovery of fraud. Both highly unlikely, right? I know exactly how you feel though; you can finally taste a new start and you just want it to be official. At least that's how I felt or how I still feel since I'm still waiting on closing.

Check PACER at the end of the day and let us know.

Get ready for the Happy Dance!!!

Our paralegal told us, in our Court here,........... The Court computer kicks on and automatically generates the Discharge notice, in the middle of the night, a week after the last day for Objections.

Generally, Trustees don't physically issue the Discharge notices themselves. Give it a few days and you'll probably see your Discharge on PACER.
