I filed ch7 on my own, wife didn't we surrendered our van and now only have a 1 vehicle. I'm wondering how it would look to the trustee if ,my wife was to finance a 3-4k dollar car? Had my 341 friday and have already had to take off work twice to take kids to dr, we have a 2yr old and a 8 month old, and my wife stays at home with them for right now.

I don't really know, but I think it should be okay if it was only in your wife's name and you weren't on the loan or deed. I was going to file on my own to begin with (husband jumped on board later, before filing). And if I can remember right, anything that the non-filing spouse does doesn't affect the filing spouse and vice-versa. However, was your wife on the loan for the van you surrendered? I ask because I was under the impression that the non-filing spouse would be responsible for the loan (or difference between loan and auction/sale value) if the filing spouse filed. Maybe I'm thinking of a personal loan... anyway... I'm not an attorney so don't listen to me! I bet someone else on here can really help you though!3/27/07: Chapter 7 Filed - Pre-filing true FICO (hers/his) 450/477

I'm not sure how it would look to the trustee or anyone really. Unless something comes up you are just waiting your 60 days now, so for myself I would just wait out the next 2 months to be on the safe side. Someone else who may have gone through the same thing may come along here and give you some insight, but to me maybe just waiting is the simplest solution....just in case.
Is it possible for your wife and kids to drive you to work, them have the car all day just in case and then pick you up after work? I suggest this because this is what we had to do for a very long time and maybe it might get you through the next 2 months if it's possible."Try to save money.
