Great news folks, now just sit out that 60 days and life will be "good" after that if you do it right the next time around.......

Work on checking out that credit report and making sure everything is reported correctly, start yourself a budget to live within, start a emergency fund for what the future might bring....... and relax..... it will all be over soon.....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Here's the kicker - I worked for the federal government and became disabled. They denied my disability and lied about everything even with a boxfull of medical records, etc. I went two years with not one penny and just about lost everything. I went to a food bank to get macaroni, soup and other things to make food for my dogs. I contacted each and every creditor and asked them to be patient with me and they would get their money as I would eventually win my case. They ignored my pleas and a $200 debt would end up being something like $2,000 after their lawyers and liens got finished. I finally got my disability but by then my life was wrecked. I am getting a giggle out of this which is probably wrong BUT I feel I am getting back at the federal government for treating me like crap and the credit companies for not working with me. Both are paying now. Guess I am being vindictive but......

NY-sort of the same thing happened to me. DH was in an accident and unable to work for several months with no pay. I called up creditors and said "I want to pay but don't have the money right now can we work something out" One in particular started screaming at me about sueing me and garnishing my wages when I was only one week late & refused to work with me. So we ended up filing bk. Funny thing is if they would've just worked with us they would've ended up getting thier money, but since they refused they get nothing.
