got case #, & 341 date

Well, the attorney called today and told us our case #. Our 341 is set for May 22, at 8:30 a.m. Boy am I glad it is pretty soon, and bright and early in the morning. The lawyer said they are going to mail me something to fill out for the trustee (like 15 questions), then I have to mail it back. I am hoping this means that the trustee likes to move things along quickly, and wants most of the info before the 341.

I will continue to keep everyone posted. Wish me luck! I dont know if im more scared or excited......

You're on your way! don't worry too much about the 341. It's usually friendly, painless and importantly - nice and short. A few days prior my 341, I just went through some questions I might be asked and made sure I was telling the truth. Turns out that the trustee only asked 2 or 3 questions and I was driving home sing'n country with the radio before I knew it.

My 341 was moved 30 days after the original date. At the time I was dissapointed but when I was informed that the 60 days started after the original 341 date, I was happy.....less chance for creditors to appear to the meeting and only 30 days to the deadline for objections.

I know how your feeling. The first time I logged into pacer and saw my name I almost threw up! LOL After a couple of days I calmed down.

We also had to fill out some questions before our 341 and then at the actual meeting the trustee just held it up and asked if we had read and signed the paper.

I hope they don't move ours. My husband will be away on training in June and there would be NO way for him to come home if they moved it.

I wouldn't worry at all......... I went to the courthouse on the original date and another trustee verified our presence and then we were told that the original trustee was very ill. My attorney told me that this was a very rare thing. Furthermore, my future date was adjusted a few times due to my attorney already having other 341s scheduled on the rescheduled date, which makes me think that the original date is non-negotiable but if the date is rescheduled, dates become a bit more forgiving.
