This is the answer for me, too. I thought a trustee, and my lawyer has or just had one in his office, really looked at all for at elast 6 months! Now i realize my lawyer wants to know the truth w/ my situation, to make sure I've disclosed all... to prevent the unexpected.

I was told to have 6 months and if I could 1 yr of statements for everything (car lease, cc, student loan, car pymt, w2, blah blah). Well I showed up at the 341 with everything and was not asked for anything! Not even my Social Security card.

But it sure feels nice knowing I have EVERYTHING tucked away incase anything is needed between now and my discharge.

          Your Little Charge

How far back does the trustee look at CC statements?

Just wondering? I will not have used my CC for a full 6 months before I file. I'm just scared he/she will go line by line on the ones before that and be like - "Hmmm.....I see you spent $250 at clothing store X or $50 to get your hair done." - and then give me a hard time. I know I'm probably worrying for nothing but I'm a worrier by nature and I'm just curious to know in other's experience if this has ever happened?

I got a new credit card of $10,000 and transferred the credit to pay off another credit card (balance transfers are considered a cash advances). Than I turned around and blew the $10,000 on the credit card that was paid off - within a month - GAMBLING! THAN I filed Bk like days over 3 months of filing maybe even shy of 3 months! So I would say your worrying about nothing.
