what do they look at on bank statements?

I feel like everything I do and spend is going to be scrutinized. My husband and I AND our twin 2 yr. olds are all in my brothers wedding in june. You can guess how much money we are spending between dresses, tuxes, shower gifts, bachelor and bach'ette party, etc. Granted we are still in budget, what if I take out cash from my atm for like $200 every 2 weeks? Will they ask where it went and will I have to save receipts? Or can I just say we like to carry cash for Costco, groceries, eating out, etc.?

I was super, ultra paranoid about things like that too, SoFar.

I didn't want a Debit from Mickie D's showing. I'd take extra money out when I shopped at Wal-Mart so it looked like grocery money.

Our paralegal said I was being too paranoid. The Trustee knows that people do eat out. They do have family things happen. And our attny allowed for that stuff in our budget.

So don't worry about it.

I don't think they question what you've already spent your monies on. The statement says it all. The Trustee never questioned a withdrawal I had on one of my bank statements for $700 BUT I think the withdrawal told them already I had done it at a casino! Still no questions asked.

That's good to know... I hadn't really though too much about it, but it is something that I can see them looking into now that you mention it! I'm glad to hear others who've got experience haven't had issues. I love this board!
