So I logged onto pacer and it said our 341 is set for May 21, then deadline for objections is July 20th...

That seems so far away from what the lawyer told me. He said 3-4 weeks. Not almost 2 months. I don't suppose those dates might change?

I just read that Ohio has the biggest foreclosure rate in the country, mostly related to this sub-prime mortgage crash. So that my be why your 341 is so far off, they are just too busy right now.

60 Days From The 341 For Objections, After That Likely 3-4 Weeks Till Discharge , But Who Knows Discharge Could Happen Immediately Or Take A Few Months, Mine Was 1 Week Or So But Others Much Longer. Don't Worry tHE 341 WELL THAT IS SCHEDULED WHEN YOU FILE AND IT DEPENDS I GUESS WHEN THEY CAN DO IT, i FILED IN jAN AND THE 341 WAS IN APRIL, PART OF THE GAME, DON'T FRET ABOUT IT THINGS ARE SET IN MOTION , GOOD LUCK

Yep.
And up in my corner of the state is one of the highest areas in the state.
So I have no idea how long it will take for a chapter 7 asset case to finally close (probably going to have to loose the house due to too much equity)

Thanks everyone. I guess the dates seem pretty reasonable. It's about 7 weeks till the 341. I just hope it goes by fast.

We are a no asset case, so hopefully we will get discharged and closed pretty quickly.

There were people at our 341 that had filed 2-3 weeks before us. We got a lucky draw I guess to not have to wait even a month.

Who knows the rhyme or reason to 341 Meeting Scheduling??!! Some people file and wait nearly 2 months. While others file and get in in 3 weeks. It's insane!!

I know what you mean... we filed on 3/27/07 and we aren't scheduled for our 341 meeting until 5/10/07. Not that I'm super excited to go, but I'm like you... would just like to get that part over with. Oh well... a small price to pay for the ability to regain control over our financial lives!
