Well, it has come down to the 341. PACER shows nothing to be alarmed about so far. Only one of my car loans has sent reaffirmation dox. Not sure what the delay is for the other one. Anyway, attorney said all we need to bring is SS Card and Photo ID (DL). Question: does the Trustee already have our tax returns, bank statements, paystubs, etc? Or does he/she get that at the 341? The only things I found on PACER were the actual petitions, amended creditor matrix, stuff about the credit counseling, reaffirmation, etc. Does this sound like smooth sailing?

Well... tomorrow is D-Day. I am a bit nervous, wondering what will be asked. So far still nothing new on PACER and attorney has not advised us to bring anything else except ID and SS cards.Filed 1/29/07 Chapter 7

The Trustee just verifys if it is you that is sitting in front of him. And did you actually sign the forms. And if you read and understood everything. Should be a piece of cake !

Walnut - Only the actual petition and documents filed with it will show up on PACER. There are some things, like tax returns and bank statements, that are requested by the trustee only for verification purposes. These things are kept private, are not filed with the court, and do not show up on PACER. What you saw on PACER is normal, as it should be.DISCLAIMER: I am not an attorney. Well, it was a breeze. Trustee said It Appears This is a No Asset case and that is how he is reporting it. No letters received from the US Trustee. Now just have to wait it out, do the debtor ed thing and figure out how to handle Bass and Ass when they come calling after discharge for my fridge and TV set.Filed 1/29/07 Chapter 7

Great that everything went so smoothly for you today, Walnut - always such a relief when the 341 is over!
And don't spend time worrying about Bass and Ass. They might threaten after your discharge, but it's 99% likely just a scare tactic. Think about it.....what is B&A going to do with a used fridge and TV? They aren't worth the rental price for a truck to haul them away - they just want your money. If they do call you, tell 'em to come on over and pick up the fridge and TV....and by the way, they will find both out in your garage in pieces since both broke recently and you have been trying to repair them!I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
