All 3 reporting agencies were pulled on myself and my husbands credit report. Our lender is pleasantly baffled as only 2 creditors (MBNA & Sears) are showing a total balance of $11K. Citibank's balance alone was $23K and it's showing a zero balance and that 'customer disputed as fraud' or something like that. I've seen that on there for a year and have shrugged it off. Figured it kept them away. lol We never said anything like that. I almost wonder if our atty who we first started with told them that. He hated creditors (as they all do) and I wonder if he fed them a line!?
We filed on 11/9/06 and were discharged on 2/14/07. She said the lack of reporting anything is strange, but the creditors are showing on True Credit and were showing last month when another lender pulled the report. Why would she only be showing 2 unsecured debtors on our report? And they are showing a balance, but were included in the ch7 bk.
She thought that it might help us in getting a better rate. It is reporting a ch7 on the report and it is showing the discharge date on her report. So what she pulled today is what she will use to put together a mortgage for us.
Has anyone else ever heard of this happening? Unsecured debtors just falling off of the credit report? It makes us look like we filed ch.7 for $11K, vs. the real # of $30K, which quickly doubled with months/years of interest.
And one of 2 of our cars is showing correctly as being included in bk, because we were informed several times to not include the cars. But one of the cars is showing as current (she thought that within 30 days it will change to included in BK). But again, she said that the report she pulled today she'll use and that it's actually a good thing for us that 1 of the cars isn't updated as 'included'.
I feel like I've entered The Twilight Zone. Let's not hope we feel that way with the loan package she comes up with! LOL
