    confused on reaffirmation process

I am reaffirming a loan in order to keep my car. I found the form but I am not sure how to fill it or file it:

Does the form (b240) get filed with the rest of my chapter 7 paperwork? or do I just submit the Form 8 Individual Debtor's Statement of Intention?

There is also parts to the b240 form that the creditor has to fill out. Do I file these blank with just the info I know?

if there is a link to a step by step process, I'd appreciate it.

Typically the form comes from your lender. Sometimes you have to request that they send it too you.
Then depending on your lender your either send it back to them for their signanatures and they file it or if they already signed it you take it to the courthouse and file it.
You take care of reaffirmation after filing and before discharge.

I just reaffirmed my car loan and we filed pro se. Jolly is exactly right on the process. In my case, I contacted my bank and told them I wanted to reaffirm and they put me in touch with the officer that takes care of that. She sent me all of the paperwork already signed. I read, filled in the blanks, and signed it and sent it to the court. Because I filed pro se, I had to attend a hearing. It was extremely simple, even shorter than a 341. The judge just asked if I still owned the car, if I understood the aggrement, where I worked, and what my income was. After that it was approved. A lot more hype than what I expected it to be anyhow!
      Filed Pro Se - 7/6/2006
      341 Meeting - 8/8/2006
      Discharged - 1/31/07
      Closed - 3/14/2007
