I have heard is asked at 341 meetings before, so I wouldn't say the answer to your question is an absolute no. However, there is nothing the trustee can really do about it regardless of what the answer is.

The trustee can ask. But its really the least of anyone's worries. So 'no' would be a 99% probability.

An attorney I consulted with said that if asked say you used money you "had around for an emergency under your mattress" or someone gave it to you. There's no law that you have to keep your money in the bank. Maybe you saved a little at a time and stuck it in a lock box at home.

Its really a non-issue, because techically the 'cash on hand' you claim at the time of filing is the cash you would have after you have paid all the fees to file. I have never heard of a case where the cost of filing was brought up or questioned.
