Accessing old BK records from the web

I had filed BK CH7 once before in 1991. Through moving around and such over the years I have misplaced those records. One of the questions that might arise at my 341 is have I ever filed in the past to which I would have to say yes and the trustee would then have to research the discharge for eligibility. Does anyone know of a website that I could obtain all that BK info ahead of time? Since BK is pulic access I know there is one out there but the ones I think have the info want a bunch of money without you even knowing if they really have what you want.

    Thanx
    Andrew

PACER is one way to access Federal Court Records online.

    http://pacer.psc.uscourts.gov/

But I'm not sure you'll find what you're wanting there.

PACER stands for Public Access to Court Electronic Records that are filed using the Court's Electronic Court Filing System.

The Courts have been using PACER since 1996 so I'm not sure if your records would be available there or not.

    You can try.
    Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
    Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.

      Hi Andrew,

I filed in 1989 and again in 2005 - I was told by my BK Lawyer that since the first one was over 15 years ago the Trustee wouldn't ask for that paperwork. And he was right, they asked at the 341 if we had ever filed before, we said yes, and they wrote down the date and state, but never asked for anything else.

      YMMV

      Good luck!

PS: I think you can call the Court where you originally filed and they can direct you how to get copies if you need them - but I bet if the Trustee wants to see the paperwork - they know exactly how to get it
