Our 60 days (from the 341) are up next week. The trustees have been requesting addt'l things all along. NOW they want an extension until January! What does all this mean? Is this something that has ever happened to anyone else? Does this mean the cc's also have more time or just the trustees? I thought we would be able to have a nice Christmas this year but I guess the stress level will be even higher.

What kinds of 'additional things' has the trustee been asking for, Sophie?

cash receipts journal and expenses for my husband's business (that went kaput hence the bk).

Sophie, any time there are business debts mixed in with personal debts in Ch 7, the trustee is going to look everything over with a fine-toothed comb. Chances are the extension is to allow time to complete all the investigation he/she wants to ensure there's no fraud involved in your case. What does your lawyer say about the extension?
