Was just notified today that my Chap.7 has been discharged. There is something on PACER SITE that says "Awaiting Closing". What does this mean and how long untill I am over with this?

I think from what I read throughout the forum your case may be discharged but doesn't actually close of a full year?!

Thank you for this very enlightening article. For those of us whose case has not closed (due to tax refunds being taken) it can be an agonizing wait. Not knowing what else to expect can be tough. Our case is now over a year old. and seems to get longer every day. If any other assets were to be taken we should know by now should'nt we? There's not much to take.

Awaiting Closing simply means the case has not yet been signed off by the judge. If they are awaiting assets or further documents, then it will remain open. If your case was declared no asset, and nothing further was asked of you at or since the 341, then your case should be closed within a few weeks.
