    Trustee and assets

At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot..I have one more question regarding the chap 7 trustee and my assets (which are few ).
Does the trustee come into my home to check out my possessions? If that is the case, I am in the process of moving into a duplex..do I need to leave all my possessions in my house until the bk is discharged? It just seems strange that they would just take your word on paper that what you claim to own is the truth.

The trustee has the power to inventory your assets by visual inspection, but almost never does. So the answer to your question, again, is...don't worry about it.

The only time I have heard of trustee's sending someone out is if the person was a business owner or has a non-exempt vehicle.

I filed pro se (under old law) and no one ever looked at ANYTHING. Not a bank statement, not a tax return, not a check stub. NOTHING was verified. I was shocked (and pretty happy) about the process. I know some has changed now, but in the way of personal belongings, not much has changed. HHM is right...don't worry.
