Zoom 341 meeting and asset case question

Today our lawyer told us that the 341 meeting will be on zoom I was not aware of that as years ago it was in the courthouse is this common? We are in Florida.

My next question is unfortunately this is the second time we're filing I do make a lot more than I made before but last time it was a no asset case this time I make a lot more very close to the cutoff for a chapter 7. We do have some more assets nothing crazy but the lawyer says we'd probably have to pay back about 5k over 10 months. Is this normal? I never really see that happen when I read the boards. I'm fine to make the payment since I'm getting rid of 70k plus debt just wondered.

I did ask the lawyer and she mentioned with the amount of money we make and owning our home it's not feasible that we would have no assets to claim. Again it's Florida so there's little exemption because the main exemption is the home.

With respect to the lack of exemptions, this is true for Florida. Floridians enjoyh an unlimited homestead exemption so Florida skimps on the personal property exemptions. This means that you only have $1,000 (per debtor) to protect all your personal property (other than a vehicle).

If your attorney is saying that you have $5K in property that you are unable to protect, then you have to make an arrangement with the Trustee. I don't know, and didn't know about them allowing a 10-month period to pay. I thought they would typically just send it to auction. If your attorney was able to negotiate 10-months at $500/month with zero interest then that's a good deal.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
