I am now thinking of letting this DOJ lawyer do his best... I have nothing they can selll except maybe some couches and a fridge.. House is mortgaged to the hilt and my cars are upside down... I filed alone without my wife since it was not her fault and she was not on any accounts or the house.. She has a broken down Taurus that I cant even start to run it off a cliff to get rid of it.."That is only in her name prior to us getting married".. So a title search may show that car registered to my property but not me... If that is the case... COME GET THE CAR.. BUT BRING A TOW TRUCK... lol

I just felt like a deadbeat filing in the first place.. then to feel like a criminal pushed me over the edge...Plus being a law abiding guy getting a notice from the DOJ is a bit scary...

I can see why they need more information.. I could be hiding 50k in a wall safe... But that is not the case.. Everything including imporvements to my home where done with our home equity loan...

Good lord.. Ever since I started going to group therapy I have been rambling.. But it helps..

Thanks again to all.. Today is a good day and that is all I care about..
    Hey BG~
GLad to see you ramble...we're ALL glad to SEE YOU HERE....you're ramblin' (not really so!!) is OKAY WITH ME!!!!!! I need to ramble too, we all do, so you just go right ahead......you get the help anyway you can, that's what's important!!!!!!!!!!!
I have days that I am really depressed as well, today doesn't seem to be one of them, but who knows what tomorrow might bring~I take it one day at a time, that's all you can do~ it's normal to have ups and downs....beleive me...I just found out that we probably will payback 100%~thus 2300.00 month X 60 ............
I have an aquaintance that is going through the gambling thing too, she has been in rehab several times....
We all have habits~ that's what gets us here in the first place....but to help each other out is what is important......~ Hang in there, I will need your encouragement and others will too some time, I'm sure, and you will have kicked your problem some day~ keep your chin up!!!!!!!!!

These documents he wants me to get are going to bankrupt me..

Basicalll all of them are 5 bucks a statement for 2 years for each account 14 total.. Then 2 years of bank statments from my closed account... also 5 bucks a month... I cant get him them all.. I will give him the bank statements so he can see where the charges are... But I dont have 1000 dollars to spend on paperwork..and no one to borrow it from..

      Just had to vent...

      But still a decent day...

Thanks again all.. for the kind words of encouragement...

Have you talked to the bank and told them why you needed them to see if you can get the fee waived? Can't hurt to ask.

I remember someone here a while back who had to assemble some terrible amount of documents. They said they gathered about 80% of what the UST's Office requested. Evidently it was enough. Their case was discharged and closed.

Maybe the attempt to gather what you can is worth something with the UST's Office. Hopefully what you have and what you can get will be enough, BG.

Sorry--that really stinks. It should be priced like how you get your medical records--$1/page for the first 10 pages and then 20 cents/page after that.

It's not like printing 2 statements or 24 for that sake takes any more effort than 1. They just put in a date range and hit print!

We I borrowed the $120 from mom to get the 24 months worth of bank statements.. Hopefully all the gambling activity on there will show him that I have/had a problem with gambling.... If not... Off to court I guess... I dont know...

Today is a so so day.. I hated borrowing money from my mom...

A "gift" from Mom, not a "loan"

Remember that in any conversations with lawyer and trustees. A "gift" you can choose to "re-gift" her if you wish later....

BG, I am so glad you are going to group therapy. Being in a group amongst peers and people going through some of the exact same things as you are is a tremendous help and hopefully you have connected with someone "real" that you can lean on. Like others have told me when times were/are tough for me, it's good to have the forum, but even better to have a human to interact with and get that physical/mental support face to face. We are and always will be here for you to ramble away, we all do it at some point and everyone is so great about "listening". I am glad you are still here. You and your wife will get over bankruptcy, maybe even be better off. Your wife and child will not get over your death quite so easily. So, stick with it. Sounds like you have a great laywer, put your chin up, do the best you can, go to therapy, love your wife and child and come and vent and ramble and you WILL get through this. Hugs and prayers your way BG!

Hi everyone.. Just thought I would check in.. BK has been on my mind lately as my lawyer turned over all documents we collected on the 20th... Now the DOJ has until Dec 1st or 2nd for objections.. Nothing to do now but wait..

I am mentally doing decent still taking my meds.. Have my good and bad days.. I think of the worse case possible and realize.. I will still have my family and we are lucky enough to have saved our house since we have no equity and are up to date on payments.. So the worse thing I would deal with is a garnishment or judgement.. Nothing to totally freak out about like I would have... But who knows.. The DOJ may look at my documents and just say gambler no assest and move on to the next case.. Who knows ???

Just a waiting game.. Just thought I would drop by and say hi...

Thought I would post a up date..

Trustee got another extension .. she said she did not get any paperwork from us.. My lawyer said that usually means she hasnt had time to go through all of it..

At times it gets me down cause this was suppose to be over with on 12/01 now we are waiting until 02/01/2007... But if she had a leg to stand on I think she would have objected by now.. So I guess I can look at it as a positive..

Who are we kidding... It is bugging the heck out of me as I want this darn thing over with..

Hey BG, glad to hear from you again and thanks for the update.

You should look at this as a positive, meaning nothing has been objected to. We all know it's frustrating and we all wish it can be done and overwith in one day.

Hang in there BG, keep us posted, and feel free to vent to us.
