How does reaffirming a vehicle work?

I had my 341 last week, everything went well. My lawyer did not say anything more about me reaffirming my vehicle which he knows I plan to do. I have never missed a payment or had a late payment and the loan is with the same bank I bank with.

I am going to email him but does anybody know what I am supposed to do, if anything? Should I contact the bank myself? Is no action necessary until after the discharge? I don't want to screw this up and either lose my vehicle or piss off my bank.

    Thanks

    Depends

Im filing in the State of VA, it all depends on who you finance your vehicle with, mine is through Huyndai themselves, they have acknowleged I filed and I am sending payments to their "BK payment address." So in a sense I've "re-affirmed, I'm paying them. As long as I don't miss a payment, I'm fine. Some companies are very anal, I heard FORD MOTOR CREDIT is extremely anal, and I think Chevrolet. Some you have to get a reaffirmation paper signed, without it they may take your car! Check where you are getting the loan from.

    Good Luck, Catchmeifyoucan
