If there is a pending lawsuit in an open Chapter 7, is it my responsibility to reveal new information on the case, or is that the job of the Trustee to find that out? In other words, do I have to give information to the Trustee in this case, or is the fact that the pending lawsuit on the Chapter 7 schedules, provide sufficient information to the trustee, and now it is the job of the trustee to find out the information on that asset? If I stay silent, would that hurt me later? Or is that not significant in this situation? I am so dam confused about this. I choose to reveal the information to the trustee, because I didn't want any lack of transparency to bite me in the ass, later. Still, I think this trustee abandoned the case without formally abandoning it. I might have been better to do nothing? Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
