Why are most creditors a no show in BK cases?

Does anyone have insight on this.

    Thanks.

No show as in, "filing a claim but not showing up to the hearings", or no show as in "not even bothering to file a claim"?
    Chapter 13 (not 100%):
    • Burned: AMEX, Chase, Citi, Wells Fargo, and South County Bank cum Bank of Southern California
    • Filed: 26-Feb-2015
    • MoC: 01-Mar-2015
    • 1st Payment (posted): 23-Mar-2015
    • 60th Payment (posted): 07-Feb-2020
    • Discharged: 04-Mar-2020
    • Closed: 23-Jun-2020

No show, as in not showing up to the hearings.

      Thanks.

By "hearings", I assume you mean the 341 meeting.

Showing up to the 341 does nothing. If a creditor has a problem with the case, he/she/it must put it in writing and file it with the Court.

        Hope that helps.

As Des writes, most creditors will only file claims. Most don't care about the 341 Meeting. You know who goes to 341 Meetings? Local credit unions and family/friends that hate your guts. Outside a local bank/credit union, only jealous friends, family, and business associates go to a 341 Meeting. True creditors that have a beef with you, will file papers, demand a 2004 examination, and/or file an adversary proceeding (complaint).
