Trustee requesting copies of CC statements

My 341 is next week. I just got notice that the trustee is requesting last 6 mos. of cc statements. Now, does that include ALL cc's or just the ones that are in bankruptcy? There are 4 in bankruptcy and there are about 10 that are paid off.

    Thanks!

Give him what he wants, because if your missing something he has a right to dismiss the case! Check with your lawyer too!

That's my question. I don't know what that means. Does he want ALL statements or just the cc statements that are in bankruptcy?

at our 341 meeting we had a folder of a ton of info, we provider what she asked for

have two files of cc statements, one that are included in bankruptcy

and another file with the rest, and if anything is said, you thought the ones that were included in bankruptcy was what he/she wanted

        but keep them seperate

try this if you do not get a answer

          Just Great!!

We typically don't get CC statements from the ones we don't owe any money to. Maybe an occassional mailer with an update of terms or something. A couple sent notes where they had reduced our LOC due to factors in our Credit Reports. But no CC statements.

          What then??!!

As far as the others go, the attny already has over a years worth of statements on file. Watch the Trustee ask for 2 years worth or something like that!

He probably wants just the ones on the schedules. If you have 0 balance accounts then this shouldn't be a problem since there is no debt with these.

Is there a reason the trustee asked for them? Usually they want to see this if there is an usual amount of debts. Did he give you a reason or just a request?

Maybe you can make a printout of the statement list...

I do everything on line. It seems if you can enroll with your cc account online if your accounts are still open, you should be able to print a list of "statment dates" that you could click on to "view statement". If there wasn't any statement the it won't appear in the list. Also your credit bureau should show that last time there was a bal on the accounts. Or maybe you could contact the credit card companies that are PIF & request the to send some sort of letter stating the last time there was a balance on it & when the last payment was received. The trustee should be able to put together the whole "puzzle" & will see the cancelled checks who they went to and such.

Foolandhismoney: It was just a request. I dropped everything off at the attorney's office this morning.

I have 2 HUGE files that I am bringing with me. I want to be prepared as much as I can. I've read too much on this site to leave it up to anyone else to look after me but me.

I asked the attorney and his paralegal what they thought of this trustee since they deal with him all the time. No response yet back from the lawyer and the paralegal was like he is very professional.

Has anyone had a trustee tell them they can't file a 7 and force them into a 13?

                  Thanks everyone!

I haven't charged anything on either credit card in over a year. They wouldn't see much if the requested statements from me--if I could find anything that I printed from online statements. Just another thing to fill up the binders with to take to a 341 meeting eventually.

                      Yep!!

When we first turned over our docs to the attny back in the Spring, I had at least 6 months of CC statements then. Kept collecting them. Turned in the last of them when we signed our Petition last week.

The paralegal has scanned all our stuff into their system at the attny's office and returned all our docs to us in a neat file folder. I think I'll be taking that with me to the 341 as a CYA in case the Trustee asks for anything.

We haven't charged anything in over 9 months. So CC statements for the last 6 months won't show anything but increased penalties, fees, and interest charges.
