Objections to Discharge Due in 2 Weeks - Creditors' Attorneys Now Contacting Me

    Hi there!

I'm in Texas and I'm Pro Se in a chapter 7 no asset case.

341 meeting went well and everything was going smoothly until I started getting phone calls from creditors again...just 2 weeks before I'm scheduled for a potential discharge.

They call a few times during the week but never leave voicemails.

When I research the phone numbers, I see enough evidence to believe it's the bank's attorneys / legal team contacting me.

So I have at least 1 or maybe 2 creditors trying to reach me.

I know it isn't that unusual for opposing attorneys to contact me. But what could their intentions be this late in a no-asset case?

They still have a few weeks to file an objection to discharge, which means they have some (expensive) leverage.

But I obviously don't have enough cash to pay off any large debts, which is the reason why I filed chapter 7 in the first place.

Maybe they're just screwing with me. Or maybe they'll threaten to object to discharge.

I have $39K in unsecured credit card debt.

Please let me know if you've seen or heard of anything like this before. Any input is appreciated!
