Tax Returns

Hello! I was finally able to file my chapter 7 yesterday, and learned that I will be able to keep my expected tax return with the wildcard exemption.

In the past, I would have my tax return direct deposited into my checking account. How will that work as I will be in the middle of bankruptcy? I know I will still ultimately get the refund, but will it go to the trustee first and then the trustee sends it to me, or will it still be direct deposited into my account?

I am Ch 7 no asset. My atty told me I get to keep mine as well, if I get one. I was told to file as if I never filed BK. But thats my result. Yours may vary

There's nothing different to do. You still file and put in your direct deposit information.
