How long did you Asset Case take to close? This is taking FOREVER!

Hi all - quick overview. 341 March 17th. Pacer showed the trustee was NOT pursuing a buyback (we were so excited) then, changed their mind. We agreed on an amount and paid in May and were discharged in May. We also had to file an adversary to remove a tax lien, and that was satisfied in July. We have done everything we need to do, just wanting the case to be closed so we can move on from this. Can anyone give an idea of when we can expect this? From what I understand we cannot sell our house until the case is closed.

kerril no person on this forum would dare guess as to when a Trustee, in a Chapter 7 asset case, will fully administer and close the case. Some have waited for 2 years (or more) for their case to close. It's just one of those things. You may be able to sell your home if you can get the Trustee to officially abandon the home (from the Estate). You and your attorney may want to ask the Trustee when you could expect the case to be finally administered and the final distribution report issued.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10
