federal student loans

My husband got his associates in May. He would like to go for his bachelos starting in Aug. We will be filing end og Aug or beginning of Sept.
Will the trustee look poorly at us applying for more federal loans before filing?
I am aware that student loans are non-dischargeable.

I don't think it's an issue since a.) student loans are non-dischargeable, b.) federal student loans sit in deferment both during a bankruptcy and for the period you are enrolled in school plus 6 months, and c.) they are used to, hopefully, improve your ability to earn income.

Thank you, justbroke. I think the same way you do. I am just a wreck over all of this We are also applying for a parent plus loan for our daughter. I "think" we will qualify since we have not filed yet.
This feels like all bad timing. I never thought we would be in thisposition.
