I guess I have entered chapter 13 twilight zone. We filed in December, had 341 meeting in February and the attorney is in the process of trying to refile the amended plan. I don't think it is his fault, I think the trustee is just pushing to the limit. Apparently a form changed which caused one problem, math error, by both my attorney, and the attorney at trustee's office. So today when I saw him he was on his way to the court with our papers. He said if it does not work this time, we are re-filing and starting from scratch. All because 1 debt collector sued us....so originally I had listed all of my debts but if we re-file should I include debts that are clearly beyond statue of limitations? Also if it does get approved what happens if no one files a claim. The only claim that was filed, was a debt collector for Bank of America, and it too was beyond sol. Claim was filed and then withdrawn 2 weeks later. So as of now with only couple of weeks left, no one has filed claim.

The claims will likely all come in the last week. It's typical to even get one or two on the last day. I would keep my current filing if only one creditor filed a claim! Depending on the size of that single unsecured claim, you could finish your Chapter 13 in a very short period (unless you're looking to cure arrears on mortgages or car loans).
In my District, it's normal for 6-months to pass before being confirmed. (I'm in Florida.) I don't know what the rush is to get confirmed. It's better if everything is finalized (lien strips, cramdowns, motions to avoid, claims bar date passed, etc).Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

I know it's hard not to worry. Feeling like you're in limbo is an awful feeling. If you do your part (giving honest information and making your payments on time), your attorney will figure out the rest. With that said, I have plenty of experience freaking out during this process. It's definitely a scary and emotional journey...Chapter 13 - May 2014
