Making Our Last Payment

The last payment on our Chapter 13 will come out of our checking account on Feb 5th and then we should be done. Talked to our lawyer today and he said audit and discharge should take about 6 weeks to complete and then we are done.

Many thanks to all who have posted and kept us sane during the last 4 years. We appreciate all your good information.

Will let you know when to post a party dance--Not quite yet--but soon!!!!!

I made my last payment on Dec 9th, and still no discharge and they are still taking payments! Hope yours moves along quicker than mine.

Congrats!!! I made my last payment the end of December due in January. The trustee has always held back one payment, so he still has one payment to release in February. We already completed the final mandatory training and the child support forms. So we are just waiting. But I did get paid today and it was great know I don't have to send more than 1/2 of it to the trustee!!
