Our last year of a 60 month plan - what should I expect?

Hi everyone! It's been a long road, and it's nice to see light at the end of the tunnel. We are down to 11 payments left on our Ch13 and I'm so excited!!

Curious to know - what are some things you all noticed in your last year? Credit scores changing (hopefully going up)? Offers for credit coming in more frequently? (Not that I plan to apply for credit in the next year, but getting them again is a positive sign!)

Information/contact from your attorney or the trustee's office? Anything else?

    Thanks!!

Hi cspa522, congrats to making it to your final year. For me not much changed. Credit score hasn't changed since nothing is currently reporting. However once I'm discharged I hope my home equity loan will start reporting again. I have gotten credit card offers from 2 banks that I already deal with. Not in any hurry for a new one, so I keep tossing them.

Other than that, no different than the previous years. Now that I have made my last payment I expect to hear from the trustee and my attorney.
    Discharged 5/2015

I have 4 months left. Nothing has changed in the last few months. I haven't checked my real credit scores, but my Credit Karma scores have not changed. I have received credit card offers from Barclays during my entire BK and those offers seem to come at the same rate as they always have. I suspect most changes occur early on and after discharge.

Just curious. Over the last 12 months my credit score went up 10 points, so I wondered if that's normal, if it will go up more as we near the end, or if nothing much will happen until we start to reestablish credit.

Knock on wood, we've had a VERY easy last 4 years. No, it's not fun, and I can't wait until my money is MY MONEY again, but definitely learned a lot of life lessons from all of this. Looking forward to 11/30/15 when I make that very last payment ever.

Congrats LadyInTheRed!! I can't wait until it's me with only 4 months left!!

I also haven't noticed anything different during my last year. Made my last payment about 3 weeks ago so still waiting to get my wage directive stopped but nothing happening yet! Arg!

Our BK's appear to be running close together time wise. My planned close is Nov 23, 2015. Don't forget to make sure you have your second debtors course and financial support papers in to your attorney. I was geared up to finish early, but an injury wrinkled up those plans and has put the BK at risk.

By the way my credit has fluctuated 4 points in the time we have been in BK, so I put no weight in it currently. I will start working on it soon.

              Keep us posted 522.

I am 2 months from the finish line now and nothing has really changed for me either in this last year. My attorney changed about a year ago, I was notified by certified mail. My original trustee retired about 3 months ago and since then, I've been making payments to a new trustee. But the new TT hasn't contacted me or anything, I just got a notice informing me so that I could submit my payments in the correct name. But that really didn't affect me either because I make my payments online.

My credit score has actually gone up quite a bit. I think that's because I had to buy a new car right after I filed 5 years ago (got into an accident and my old car was totaled). The trustee approved the new debt, but because it was after I filed, that payment was not included in the plan. I've been paying it outside the plan all these years, so that's been reported.
