Received Refund Trustee

Hello Everyone!

We have 10 months to go until the end of our Ch. 13 Bankruptcy. In today's mail we received a check from the Trustee that says refund in the amt. of $85.00. That is it, not an explanation at all. We have sent in the amount that was scheduled every month for the last 2 1/2 years, so we are a little confused. Tomorrow I will call our Attorney & ask if they know what this about. I was just curious if anyone else has gotten a refund from the Trustee months before the end of their Bankruptcy.

I just went into the National Data Center and it says Plan Completed Sept. 24th, 2014. Oh we are definitely stopping by the Attorney's office first thing tomorrow.

Wow... that is a total surprise! Looks like you're in a 36-month plan and met the plan base and your Trustee is letting you go. That is a great Christmas present.

You should take the Trustee payment amount (less secured debt payment like mortgage or cars), and save it for the next 10 months. If you can do that successfully over 10 months, just continue to put that amount away (your "disposable" monthly income).

Hi Everyone!

I just spend an hr. writing a post to all of you and for whatever reason when I tried to post it said I didn't have authorization & had to log in again. I lost the whole thing. I will try and remember everything and re-post again later.

The Receptionist at the Attorney's Office was alone today and said they would have to get back to me on Monday, but she checked our Account & the Trustee's website & it does say our account is closed as of Sept. I will check in with all of you as soon as I get a definitive answer.
