    Discharge is dragging out

We made our last payment, wage stop order was released, 30 day to object
and now trustee's final report and account shows up on pacer.

When will this be over? I am waiting on discharge so I can pull our reports
to see what we have to dispute. I know we paid for 60 months but being
at the end and still dragging out is getting to us. We are not looking to
go back in debt it's just the waiting at this point. I actually will be happy
to never feel like I have to use a CC again.

I'm sure it varies state to state, district to district, trustee to trustee. FWIW, I made my last payment in December 2013 and was discharged 2 months later. I received my FINAL DECREE in May 2014, then I knew it was "officially" over.

    Discharged 2/18/14

The trustee and /or your attorney will contact you via US mail to advise you on the steps necessary to obtain your discharge. In my own case, the letter from the trustee indicated that it could take up to 120 days from the receipt of the last Chapter 13 plan payment until the issuance of the discharge of debt from the BK Court. It took almost all of the 120 days to get my discharge, as it turned out. As mentioned above, different states and districts operate on widely varying timetables. The bottom line: it is not at all unusual to have to wait a month or two for the discharge. But, it will happen.

We got our discharge a little over a week ago but I forgot about this thread. Thanks everyone and it is nice to be done.
