    Closing a CH 13 early

I have less than 12 payments left. Is there a way to close out early? Such as get the remaining months payments gifted from a family member ? I am interested in hearing all of your thoughts.

I'm sure someone with a better understanding than mine will chime in but as I understand it, unless you are in a 100% plan paying off early may not be feasible.

There is a procedure that is published by almost every Chapter 13 Trustee. I would first visit the Chapter 13 Trustee's website and search for information of a "payoff amount". If you are represented by an attorney or firm, then you should go through that attorney.

Never ever just send in "extra" money to the Trustee.

Once you go through the process and obtain a payoff amount, you must then follow the process for paying off the Chapter 13 early. This could involve several motions as well as answering the Trustee's questions regarding the source of the payoff.
