Going out of my mind. Trustee just distributed the July payment and we show less than one months payment on the balance owed by percentage payback. What a great feeling. Attorney states that we have to match the plan base, but I am not so sure. I am tempted to push them to actually call the trustee to find out for sure. We are under median and I wonder if satisfying the percentage would be enough.

At any rate, I will finish ready to take that next step in life!

WTG Spidge I dont post much any more but I"m always lurking . We had to meet the full base plan amount regardless of the %, it didn't add up for some reason, something about the attorney fees being added in, so base plan was required, we were under median when we filed as well.

          Yes we do!

spidge, don't worry about the plan base or percentage. Just make your normal plan payment until you are done!

That's my exact thoughts, but you know I am always looking to find an angle to finish early.

Good to hear from you Pandora.

The modification is now final. The mortgage companies online info has been updated to reflect the latest modification and the payment is almost close to what we started with in 2000. So the house issue seems to have been settled to a payment that creates some flexibility. Makes me rethink retirement numbers.

On aside, because of other issues we will make our August trustee payment a bit late, but not any later than we have made it before. A little disappointing, but I know we will be OK.

I feel like I am stuck under water and so very close to the surface to take a breath.

Congratulations on getting the modification finalized!

Your close enough to the surface to use a snorkel anyway. Take a breath! You are almost there!

                      2 Payments to go!

I am so impatient and excited at the same time. My mind is racing as to what to do. Roof, plumbing, cars, braces for an adult kid or myself, or hobbies like model trains or motorcycles. Mind you I have have not ridden since aprx. 1994. A not so expensive used bike may serve a couple purposes. My goal is to have no payments of any kind or payments so small that they have little effect on our budget.

I will act only when the time is ripe.

Hi Spidge, can't lie.i'm counting down with/for you. It's so exciting watching someone I've been cheering on for the last couple years getting so close to the finish line. Inspirational too! You have lots of options..how about just celebrate by choosing something special...but not overly expensive that will serve as a reward. I can't wait for October & November update/celebration posts!!!!

Thanks Sophieanne, we (wife, plus two adult daughters) hope to land a nice flat screen TV as our most reasonable reward for the last 6 to 7 years of this drama. Cash only of course.

Man O Man, one(1) Payment to go.

The timing is good as we have come out of the summer strong and am caught up on everything. This is important as the wife was not paid in the summer, but this year the district allowed her to defer her earnings and get a paycheck in July. This was not the complete solution but sure helped.

Thinking of sending in the final payment now but will wait until next month as we need to complete our post filing financial course and support obligation forms. Truly not a big deal. Then the AP for the lien strip.

                          Spidge,

It's about time you posted this "1 payment update". I've been on pins and needles checking for it daily
What a wonderful feeling to be down to 1 left (and all set to send in the final one). This is going to be a fantastic year end for you and your wife.
                          WTG and congratulations!

Well I got a bit of a setback last night while driving home. I stopped on the freeway just shy of a three car accident when I was rear ended propelling me into the car in front of me. Unfortunately it looks like there is more damage than the car is worth so will have to scramble a bit. I know there is no good timing when bad things happen, but @#$%^&!!!!!
