As of August 1, I have one mortgage payment left in my bk13. My employer mailed the check which should post within a few days. The assistant to the trustee advised since my mortgage was included my case probably wouldn't close for about two months but in September I needed to make sure I pay my mortgage myself.
Earlier in the week a friend and myself decided it's time to take back our finances. We both are using budgeting software and I'm scheduled for a financial literacy course thru BankPlus. They offer a loan in which is split (half a checking acct/half no touch savings). You pay for one to two years while they report to the credit bureaus. I am on my way to better credit!
What else should I do to bring my scores up the proper way?
Good luck to all who are still on this journey.
