New Baby on the way. Help?!

Hey everyone! My wife and I have discovered that we will be proud parents (again) in December, which corresponds directly to the first year of our 36 month plan.

Briefly, here are some facts and a couple of questions.

    1. My son from my first wife receives $1250 a month from Social Security Disability.
    2. When the baby arrives, that amount will be split between my son and the new little one.
    3. I have a child support obligation of $800 that I have to meet, so I will be paying my ex the difference between Social Security and the $800.

How will adding a dependent and having to pay child support again change my Chapter 13? Will I need to file a modification with a revised Schedule J?

    Thanks!

You will file a Motion to Modify Confirmed Plan. You typically file a new Schedule I and Schedule J (and sometimes a B22-C Means Test as well). This will depend on your District. Hopefully, your plan is still feasible after you make changes to account for the addition to your household!

    Congratulations!
