Think a trustee will have a problem with these car payments? ($585 and $611)

The attorney doesn't *think* so, but did mention it as possibly being a cause for concern.

The $611 is for my husbands work truck (A 2012 GMC Sierra 2500 utility pick-up). He is a self-employed contractor, and without a reliable work truck he cannot work.

Mine is $585 and is a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country. I also use this for my job. As a lactation consultant with a pump rental service I carry several breast pumps and plastic bins of supplies. I also have 4 kids under 7 in carseats.

I can't imagine they would tell me to try to find a beater van that will end up needing a ton of repairs, right? We are current not he vehicles. This is my current worry. Any insight would be appreciated!

    Thanks!

Our car payments were similar and there was no issue.

There's no real issue as the ownership allowance is $589/month per car. Plus, your cars get a technical refinance back to the length of your plan (probably 60 months in your case), and the interest rate may even be reduced to the "Till" rate (4.25% to 5.25%).

Your vehicles are also income producing so you can claim that it's for the health and welfare of your family. But, I don't think it will be a problem although it may cause the Trustee to ask why.
