    The end is near......couple questions

We just entered the 4th year of our 5 year plan. The end is in sight!
    What a journey it's been.
    couple of questions.

    Since we we
Filed 12/15/09 does that mean we are done 12/15/14?
Will we have a payment in December?
Will we have to show our tax returns for 2014 since we are done 12/15/14?
How fast is official discharge? When can we expect that to happen?

Any advice on these final months is much appreciated!

Your 60th payment should be your last payment. So, if you made a payment in 12/09, your last payment would be in 11/14. If you made your first payment in 1/10, your alst paymetn wuld be in 12/10. (I'm assuming you pay once a month.)

My guess is that if you have to turn refunds over to your trustee, you will have to send a copy of your 2014 return.

From what I've seen here, I'm counting on a 60 day wait for discharge. I think it may vary by court. There have been a lot of Chap 13 discharges announced here lately. Hopefully, some of those members will come tell us how long it took them to receive their discharge.

Have you taken your financial management course? If not, you might as well get that out of the way now.

I decided to look through some threads to see how long it has taken for people to get their discharges after making their final payments.

It looks like filingin08 got the discharge at the same time the wage garnishment order was issued: http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.php?81620-Discharged!!
It took more like 4 months for BEB: http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.php?81607-Discharged
      2 months for makeupho: http://www.bkforum.com/showthread.ph...ting-discharge

I just made my last payment for a Western Ky Chapter 13 - the trustee requires prior year taxes and annual budget by June 15 each year... - should have a discharge way before then...

The reason for tax returns and budgets is to see if your plan payment needs to be raised .... If you have made all your payments as court ordered the Plan is Complete, don't see why the trustee would want to see further tax returns? - too late to raise your plan payment...

        ...

But, it's not too late to get a tax refund if the OP was required to turn over tax refunds to the trustee and the tax refund is DMI earned during the plan.
