    Tax Extension

My Case is confirmed 2013 November. Looks like I may owe 20,000 Tax.

Trustee sent a letter already asking the Fed Tax returns to be sent to his office (I guess he requested to all debtors).

Question 1 ) Can i request a tax extension. If yes, I may be able to pay the tax within 6 month.

Question 2) - Can this tax debt can be added to the existing plan. I still have 4 more years to go.

Question 3) - After looking at the Tax returns, does Trustee file motion to dismiss because I owe the tax?

    Thanks for your help

    1) the IRS does allow payment plans. But, there is no way of getting out of paying penalties and interest if you do not pay tax by the due date.
    2) It is my understanding that post-petition tax debt can be added to an existing plan. But, some people also just deal directly with the IRS.
    3) I don't know.

Please call your attorney right away to discuss this and your other questions. The sooner your attorney knows about your difficulties, the better.
