My husband and I have an appointment this coming Monday morning with a representative from Wells Fargo to discuss getting help with our 2nd and 3rd Mortgages. We are current with them and want to see if it is possible to consolidate and have a lower payment without refinancing for a 30 yr. loan.
As you may remember, a while back I tried to convince my husband to convert to Ch. 7, but he did not want to. We are up to date on our expenses but extra money is not there, nor in our future.
Our house in NOT under water, but because of the 3 Mtges., if we were to sell (which he is adamant against) we would come out with about $20,000. The only reason we have this appt. Monday is when we paid our last payments they put the total amts. for the 2 Mtges. toward one Mortgage payment, making one over and the other past due.
While getting this cleared up the WF representative said that they could "do something" for us to get our payments down.
I am asking you all to help me ask the right questions on Monday so that we don't sign something to put us deeper in the hole.
As always, I want to thank you for guiding us through this process, and wishing everyone a prosperous New Year. sammie
