Questions regarding CH 13 Attorney Retaining and Creditors

I just have a question, I was told by my attorney that if I pay my retainer fee of $250 and the balance of the BK13 prior to filing, that I would be able to refer all creditors over to the lawyers office. My question is this, once I do this how long usually would I have to save up money for my case? Also I have 4 outstanding Payday loans that I had to use my vehicle as collateral. I have a lien already on the vehicle so will be paying back the car payment via the CH13 case.

I just wonder how long I will have to save before I must file my case? Any opinions here will help!

Do you mean the balance of the BK13 fees? Those are usually paid within the BK itself, the retainer varies a lot between attorneys. For us it was $250 to start the ball rolling (and was THAT ever a relief!); we filed about 6 weeks later, I think.

I honestly don't remember if we had to come up with any more money before the filing, but I don't think so ....it was back in 2008
