Just a quick question about the 2nd financial course(required for "Discharge"). Is it too soon for my wife and I to complete this course? We still have 11 months to go.(60 month plan/34% payback). Thanks for all the great advice from this forum over the years, while we have been in our Chapter 13(since March 2009)!

In a CH7, which I know you are a 13, the debtor has 45 days from the 341 to complete the second course, it it hasn't already been done. We chose to do ours online, immediately after we got home from the 341."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

In a Chap 13, the course must be taken and form B23 must be filed with the court before you make your last plan payment. I have heard that some courts have local rules requiring the course be taken earlier. The course can be taken as soon as you want after you file. I took mine right after I filed. Do it now and be done with it.LadyInTheRed is in the black!

We have 16 payments left and we did ours a few weeks ago just to get it done with. I found one that was $9.95 for the household. The 2nd course is pretty basic. If you finish early you just have to wait out the time. I sent the certificates to my lawyer and it got posted on Pacer the same day.Discharged 5/2015
