This is still festering. I had a mortgage payment get paid on the 15th back in January and am worried that may come up as an issue. the next month was paid on the first and the rest around the first of each month. Some a little after some a little before. Will this be an issue or would the mortgage company have to file a complaint about the payment history for it to be an issue?

Mortgage payments in a CH13

Hi spidge, I moved this question into a new thread, since it is a new question.
I am not sure that I am understanding your meaning, though. It sounds (reads) like you made a payment on January 15 of this year, and then after that, the payments are made on the first of the month? Is that correct?
If it is, I don't think it will matter much. My 'Hub and his brother, both born in the latter halves of the months they were born in, got paid their Social Security on the 4th Wednesday of the month.
At the beginning of June, they were notified that they were going to be paid on the 3rd day of each month. This has thrown bookkeeping in both households into chaos, with the results that other payments, such as IRS, and auto loans, also get thrown into chaos.
If this is your situation, I suggest just deal with it as best you can. Everything will work out.
If this is NOT the case in your situation, please provide a few more details..."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

Interesting question. Assuming that your mortgage is being paid in the 13 by your trustee, I too would like to know how inconsistent payments are dealt with while in an active 13. I know mine are being paid by the end of the month. Not sure of the exact date of payment as 13datacenter only shows that all distributions were made on the last day of the month. Now if it is due on the 1st and no later than the 15th of the month, what then? Don't particularly relish the idea of being discharged with a record of late payments for the last 5 years.
On a side note, I had a mortgage with a bank and paid, on time, at one of the branches. When we went to refinance with the same bank our payment record showed late payments. Apparently it took a couple of days to get to the main office. Did not hold it against us when we explained what we were doing but one would think that if you pay at any branch office it would post that day. Sometimes you just can't fix stupid.Filed 11/10/08

We haven't talked to Bro at length, but 'Hub will be going up to visit come this next Monday. Then I will be able to say whether or not Bro's payment schedule changed."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

if it is social security it goes on according to your birthday and if you are on disability and if you were on social security by a certain year so there are several factors to when someone gets paid. http://ssa.gov/pubs/calendar2012.pdfFiled 13: 8/22/2012 341 Meeting: 10/2/2012 Confirmed: 11/2/201210 payments down 50 more to go!

Sorry, but that link isn't any good, either. I tried the direct 'click' and got in Mozilla: 'Problem loading Page'. Then when I copied and pasted it into a new browser, it came up to a 'this domain available' type page."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

To explain further. This question has come up as a new judge in my CH13 case has requested a status meeting. The only document that was requested is the payment history from my mortgage company and my attorney will go to this hearing/meeting and we do not need to be there.
My mortgage is due on the first of each month and is paid outside the CH13, otherwise they would not be asking me for the info they already have. We made our January 2013 payment on the 15th of the month, but the rest of the payments have been paid on or around the first of the month. Sometimes early and at times a few days into the month. I am worried there may be an issue with this and was wondering if anyone had gone through this before.
BNKRPTinNC , we have had the same issue. The branch just mails it in so we just use the bill pay feature online as it is just as fast/slow.

As to your PS post, I still consider that the original question in this thread is new and fairly different from that in your original thread."To go bravely forward is to invite a miracle."

spidge, I don't think the late payment in January is going to be an issue. As long as you've stayed current since then, you should be okay.
Does your mortgage have a grace period? Mine is due the 1st, but there is a 15 day grace period before it is considered delinquent. I think that is pretty common. Maybe that payment wasn't really delinquent any way.LadyInTheRed is in the black!
